The Real You Is Spirit (Audio Only)

Apr 26, 2026    Pastor John Greer

This powerful message challenges us to shift our understanding of who we truly are in Christ. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 6:19 and 2 Corinthians 5:21, we're reminded that when we become believers, we are joined with the Lord as one spirit. This isn't partial acceptance or a work in progress—we are completely righteous, fully accepted, and totally complete in Him right now. The teaching uses vivid illustrations, like a drop of water in the ocean or a grain of salt in a container, to show how inseparable we are from Christ once we're in Him. The real breakthrough comes when we realize that God doesn't relate to us based on our behavior, mistakes, or emotions—He relates to us through our spirit, which is already perfected. This revelation transforms how we approach prayer, how we handle failure, and how we see ourselves daily. We're challenged to stop praying prayers asking God to fix what He's already perfected and instead thank Him for who He's already created us to be. The message confronts our tendency to identify with our mistakes rather than our true identity, reminding us that our spirit is wall-to-wall complete, just like Jesus. This isn't about ignoring areas that need growth in our soul and body, but about establishing the foundation of knowing that spiritually, we're already whole.
