Why Discipleship?

What does it truly mean to follow Jesus? It goes far beyond attending services or knowing the right scriptures. At the heart of this message is a call to intentional, sacrificial, and vulnerable discipleship rooted in John 8:31, where Jesus tells those who believe in him that abiding in his word is the mark of a true disciple. We explore what that abiding looks like in practice, not as a solo journey, but as a relational one. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2:2 and Matthew 28:19-20, we are reminded that the faith we have received was never meant to stop with us. It was meant to flow through us into the lives of others, the way water moves through a channel rather than sitting still in a reservoir. This is kingdom multiplication, and it is the heartbeat of what it means to live as a believer. The message challenges us to ask a question that can shift everything: Who am I helping grow? Whether we are a seasoned believer or just finding our footing, there is someone whose life could be shaped by what God has already deposited in us.
