You Are Not Your Own
What does it really mean to call Jesus Lord? Not just Savior, not just a source of blessing, but Lord over every corner of our lives? This message cuts straight to the heart of that question. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, where Paul reminds us that we were purchased at an extraordinary price and therefore do not belong to ourselves, we are challenged to examine who is truly in control. So many of us have welcomed Jesus into our lives while quietly maintaining ownership of our plans, our finances, our relationships, and our futures. We pray for His will while secretly hoping it aligns with ours. This message invites us to recognize that genuine salvation is not about adding Jesus to the life we have already designed for ourselves. It is about acknowledging that our lives were never ours to begin with. When we shift from seeing surrender as loss to seeing it as returning to the One who designed us, everything changes. The question is not whether we are willing to give something up. The question is whether we are willing to finally come home.
